Washington, D.C. – The Travel Technology Association, or Travel Tech, issued the following statement after Senate Judiciary Committee leadership sidelined the patent reform bill.
“The Travel Technology Association is deeply disappointed in the decision to remove vital patent reform legislation from the Senate Judiciary Committee calendar,” said Steve Shur, President of Travel Tech. “Travel technology innovators have been the widespread target of patent trolls and have experienced firsthand the destructive impact they have on travel technology companies — threatening travel services and costing millions. As technology innovators and leaders in online commerce, we remain committed to fighting for meaningful patent reform.”
The Travel Technology Association (Travel Tech) is the premier trade association for the travel technology industry, representing the leading online travel companies (OTCs) and Travel Technology Solutions Providers, or GDSs.
